Donor-Advised Funds

DAFs are a fast, easy way to support Miami Lighthouse's Mission

What is a donor-advised fund (DAF)?

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a simple, flexible and tax-advantageous way to make a charitable donation. DAF's allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction and then recommend grants from the fund over time.

Miami Lighthouse for the Blind accepts grants from DAFs in support of our mission. We partner with some of the largest DAF sponsor organizations and their philanthropic service teams in the United States.

Clients of BNY Mellon, Fidelity Charitable and Schwab Charitable can make a designation to Miami Lighthouse through the DAF Direct window on this page.

Miami Lighthouse's tax I.D. number: 59-0637847

Interested in learning more about establishing a DAF? You should consult your professional advisor for their guidance.

Why are donor-advised funds used?

  • You can quickly put your charitable dollars into action
  • You can make recurring gifts with ease on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis
  • Giving accounts have the potential to grow, possibly providing additional funding when you are ready to make a gift
  • Easy to turn your portfolio into an impactful gift to help the blind and visually impaired

Note: Individual situations vary, so donors should consult their financial advisors.
